Agaricus blazei powders and extracts

Agaricus blazei (syn. Agaricus brasiliensis or Agaricus rufotegulis) is a species of mushroom, commonly known as almond mushroom, mushroom of the sun, God's mushroom, mushroom of life, royal sun agaricus, jisongrong or himematsutake (Japanese: 姫松茸, "princess matsutake") and by a number of other names.

It has traditionally been used as a health food source in Brazil for the prevention of hyperlipidemia, arteriosclerosis, and chronic hepatitis. Recently, A. blazei was reported to have antitumor, antimutagenic, and immunostimulating effects. The intratumoral or oral administration of A. blazei also induced anti-cancer activity by promoting the infiltration of natural killer (NK) cells into tumor sites.
